The Lower Mainland Junior Women’s Fastpitch league is holding their league/season kickoff meeting on Thursday January 28^th at 7:00pm at 8-Rinks in Burnaby (in the banquet room on the upper level near the Thirsty Penguin).  This location is very easy to access from Hwy 1 – check out the map at the bottom. 

Please pass this information on to anyone associated with aged-out midget teams - we want to quickly identify all Junior Teams.

LMJWF League Info

• Only junior women’s teams can join the league.  In 2010, players born 1987 through 1990 are eligible to play junior (must be under the age of 23 as of midnight Dec 31^st of the previous year).
• If you do not have a home park, we will work with you to find an association willing to help out.
• $30 league fee is payable at our kick-off meeting (cheques preferable - made out to “LMJWFL”).  Fee covers meeting room rental, park rental/initial expenses for our club championship.
• 2 divisions: Platinum (A/B), Titanium (C).  Teams come from all over the lower mainland.
• League size: 21 teams in 2009, 20 teams in 2008.  2010 is showing an increase over 2009 in teams in both divisions. 

LMJWF League Concept
This league is an excellent graduation from minor to senior and gives great options at little expense.   We encourage junior teams to join the LMJWF and stay in this league for the full 4 years.  At the very least we hope that junior teams will participate for at least the first 2 years while they familiarize themselves with Senior Play.
