BC Women & Sport and Sport BC are pleased to announce the newest recipients of the In Her Footsteps … Celebrating BC Women in Sport.

MEDIA RELEASE - In Her Footsteps and Bobbie Steen Foundation Awards Recipients

Celebrating the accomplishments of girls and women in sport and physical activity is one of our key pillars. There are two recognition initiatives that are managed by BC Women & Sport: the In Her Footsteps program and the Bobbie Steen Legacy Foundation Award.  We also sponsor / support recognition awards presented by the BC Games Society and Provincial Sports Organizations.

Regardless of the award, all of the recipients have demonstrated their commitment to being role models and mentors of young women; they have opened doors to increase accessibility and promote opportunities for participation. They have strived, struggled, fallen, picked themselves us and continued on - because they know the benefits and love what it means to be deeply involved in sport and physical activity.
